Data from 3 European countries show the vaccinated are much more likely to get COVID at this point than the unvaccinated

PANDEMIC OF THE VACCINATED

Craig Kelly, a member of the Australian Parliament from Sydney who has criticized most of the pandemic measures, uses the expulsion of Novak Djokovic as the springboard to present data from the UK, Iceland and Denmark to show that the vaccine actually increases your risk of getting COVID.

Earlier, I thought this might be due to factors like higher natural immunity in the unvaccinated.  But with the ascension of Omicron, which transcends both natural immunity and vaccine-conveyed “immunity” I concede that the vaccines are in fact causing recipients to be more susceptible to curent COVID infections.

Mr. Kelly begins showing his graphs at 2 minutes.  I am so grateful that he has saved me from producing lots of words on this subject.

Seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there…?

An analysis by the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA) similarly found that "the risk of being admitted to hospital for Omicron cases was lower for those who had received 2 doses of a vaccine (65% lower) compared to those who had not received any vaccination." The risk "was lower still among those who had received 3 doses of vaccine (81% lower)."

Further analysis by the agency has concluded that unvaccinated adults are as much as eight times more likely to be admitted to hospital than those who have been vaccinated and that booster doses are 88% effective at preventing hospital admission.4

In the cited data Table 13, the rates of Covid-19 infection per 100,000 persons are higher for the vaccinated than the unvaccinated. So, good citation for the argument made. Yet, the death rates per 100,000 persons in the same table are much higher for the unvaccinated than for those with two doses of vaccines. (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1045329/Vaccine_surveillance_report_week_1_2022.pdf)

Therefore, the cited data are good for criticizing the Australian government about the Novak Djokovic case, but would be good for supporting the same government on the efficacy of being vaccinated.

Or do I misunderstand something?
